Delphine Garcia - Promenade

Delphine Garcia was born in Compiègne, in Northern France, in 1973.

She studied there with Pascal Bernard, a local painter and engraver, before entering the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris where she was especially fascinated by the technical courses. In 1998, she met Jean-François Debord who was not only then the professor of “Morphologie” (Anatomy) at the Beaux-Arts but also an accomplished painter in his own right. He encouraged her to extend and refine the subject matter of her small-scale paintings that depict whimsical scenes of day-to-day life. They now live together between the Pays de Caux and Paris.
